Banom® SafeLite® gloves provide a positive grip on dry flat surfaces that can be sharp. Originally designed for handling sheet glass, these gloves have also become popular in the paper and corrugated industries where cardboard panels are being cut with knives. A solid nitrile palm coating resists punctures and provides a tacky grip to ensure a positive dry surface contact. Gloves that grip well keep sharp edges from moving, thus increasing cut resistance. Applications include trimming operations in paper mills, cardboard manufacturing, plastic mold trimming, and glass window and door assembly. Due to their tacky grip, these gloves are not recommended for use when turning nuts, bolts, or screws with a power tool as this can result in a "wrap-up."
